DENHAMS George

George Denhams and his wife had a green grocery and confectionary store in Yougenup Road. They had three daughters, Constance, Helen and Dorrie. Their shop was later pulled down,
They sold the first ice cream which was made in a bucket which was placed in a container of ice. This was turned by hand until the ice cream froze.
The Bank of New South Wales bought their property and a new bank building was erected. When the bank closed down the building was bought by the local Roads Board and is now the offices of the Gnowangerup Shire.
